Over the past few months we’ve been busy making small improvements on the house and yard.
For Mother’s Day I recieved beautiful, white faux-wood blinds for the kitchen. We’ve always enjoyed our bay window there and have refrained from adding blinds so we could enjoy the view. But, in the summer, the morning sun really heats up that side of the house, so we decided it was time to be a little more comfortable while eating breakfast.
In May, we brought in 8 tons of rock which we used in landscaping. After our patio project last fall, many of our sections of rock were buried into the dirt and needed a new layer added.
Then, in June, Kenny recieved a beautiful, new lawn mower for Father’s Day! (We’re way too practical for gifts that sit around collecting dust.) 🙂 Mowing the lawn is now much more fun!
We also put a ceiling fan in James’ room which he gladly helped install.
I’ve been working hard in the garden this summer trying to keep up with all of the changing flowers. We added mulch to the flower bed and Kenny joined the flowers to the sprinkler timers which has been really nice. No more watering by hand!
We’re thankful for the blessing of our home!
