Baby Birds, Part 2

Well, we now have six little baby birds living in the nest on our front door and one VERY protective mama bird.  When the birds get a little older we’ll probably have to stop using our front door to avoid having one of them fly into the house.

First, all of the eggs hatched except two.

Then, all of the eggs hatched and we had a nest full of pink birds and lots of fluff.

Slowly, the birds began to grow a little and you can see little beaks.

Today, the birds finally resemble birds (a little) and mama is staying pretty close to the nest.

We can now hear little tiny squeaks through the door as the babies are getting a little more vocal.  I don’t know how long the birds will stay in the nest before they are ready to leave, but we’ll keep you posted!
