Our family had a WONDERFUL Christmas this year! We celebrated with SO much family and really enjoyed it. It was a full week of having people in our home, but we had a great time and managed to have quite a few restful moments too. Kenny had almost two weeks vacation from work which gave us lots of wonderful family time with just the four of us. We napped every day, made a point to rest in between our big Christmas events, and took in some other fun family things, too (more posts on this later).
Our Christmas began in mid-December when Mom & Dad came out to celebrate early.
The Sunday before Christmas we visited G’pa and Marg…
…On Christmas Eve we had my cousins over for dinner and a little XBOX action. What a joy to have extended family right in town!
Christmas morning we spent time at home together as a family which was really special. We made a yummy french toast breakfast and then opened stockings and gifts. Watching James’s excitement was definitely a highlight. Kenny sent James on a scavenger hunt through the house to find his bicycle. So much fun. And Anna was just content taking it all in and ripping the paper.
Christmas day we exchanged gifts at Kenny’s dad’s house…
…and then Kenny’s mom and sister came over for dinner and presents.
What a full week of festivities, family, and fun!
