February has completely flown by here. If you’re a regular reader, you’ve noticed that my blogging style is feast or famine. When I’m feeling on top of things I tend to have more time to myself which equals more time to blog. However, when life is busy and I’m feeling behind, blogging tends to get pushed to the bottom of the list.
It’s been over a month since my last post so thought I’d give a quick overview of what we’ve been doing. One or both of the kids were sick for a solid four weeks, but somehow we managed to squeeze in some fun, too.
Kenny ran lights for the ECA play at the beginning of the month which was a fun few nights away for him. While these opportunities are fewer now, he still enjoys this creative outlet when he has the chance.
James attended his first “real” birthday party which was so much fun. Rachel and James are buddies and he had a great time being part of her big day.
We attended the Touch-a-Truck event again this year and enjoyed climbing on all of the different trucks. I think the pizza delivery truck was James’s favorite!
For Valentine’s Day we enjoyed a fun, family night of fondue. It might have been a little ambitious with kiddos, but did make for a delicious memory. Next time we’ll just wait for a date night out.
And, speaking of date nights, Kenny and I had two this past month! Well, one was a Euchre tournament, but since we were out without kids, I think it counts. I grew up playing Euchre, and Kenny jokes that my Dad probably wouldn’t have allowed our marriage to take place if he didn’t learn to play as well. We were invited to a Euchre tournament where 18 people participated. We played with different partners and rotated through 8 short games through the evening. So much fun!
This month has also been special because we’ve had more snow to play in, and Daddy’s been home more with President’s Day off and a snow day. Always a special treat to have Dad home during the week. We had several friends and family over for dinner through the month which was enjoyable as well.
In spite of ear infections and Dr. visits, February still managed to be fun!
Very nice to see your family and follow you guys on this blog.
Thanks for reading, Paul. Hope you are doing well!
