Father’s Day 2013

We celebrated Father’s Day all weekend this year, which was fun.  On Saturday, we took the kids to the Home Depot workshop.  This was Anna’s first time to go which was fun.  She can handle a screwdriver pretty well!

We visited Kenny’s dad…

…and Great Grandpa Archie.

On Sunday, we gave Dad his gift – water guns!  This was James’s idea and unfortunately, he was so excited he told Kenny about them a few days early.  With Kenny standing in the same room James said, “I’m not going to tell him about the water guns, Mom.”  Then later he put a pillow beside our bed to hide where the guns were underneath.  He told Kenny not to move the pillow because it was hiding the water guns under the bed.  Crazy kid.  And, because we had rainy weather (praise God for rain!) we didn’t even get to use the water guns on Father’s Day.  We’re planning quite a show down this weekend when Dad’s home and we have some hot weather.

To end the day, Kenny danced with his daughter in her pink skirt and red Elmo slippers.  Priceless.

We all love you, honey, and are so grateful for the husband and daddy you are to us!
