Some recent pics of James…the train yard he built and his super cool dance moves!
James is growing up so fast. Today was a hard day for him, but in the end, he rose up and handled things so well. He was tired today which resulted in attitude problems, lots of tears, and some bumps and bruises. Before dinner I sent him to his room to calm down and regroup for awhile. When I went up to change laundry, I heard him crying and praying. What heartfelt and sincere words I heard from our boy. He was crying out to God when he was having a hard time and it was so sweet. He gets it! James understands that God wants to hear from us at all times. He understands that God is there for us and loves us even when things aren’t going right.
Tonight while tucking him in, he apologized to me for his attitude and said he asked God to help him be more kind and loving to his family tomorrow. I got a little choked up hearing his heart. Such a sweet boy.
Then the moment was over and he moved right on to a few 4-year old questions about body parts. ??? Followed by, “Mom, I really want to help make some dessert for tomorrow. Can we bake some cookies in the morning?”
Oh James, you keep me on my knees and you keep me in smiles. I love you!
