I LOVE this time of year.  Absolutely love it.  I love the trees in Colorado – the yellow aspen, the red maples – they are all beautiful.  I LOVE the cooler weather – the days to open the doors and windows for a cool breeze and then close it up before everyone freezes.  I LOVE sweater and jacket weather.  I LOVE blanket weather which equals more snuggles together.  Cooler weather also means cooking with the oven more versus the grill outside.  More warm, hearty soups and definitely more baking.  I actually enjoy the shorter days too.  By this time of year we’re tired of the endless yard work and maintenance for the flowers and lawn, so shorter days and cooler temps equals less time working in the yard.  The days get dark early and I enjoy more lit lamps around the house and a cozy fire.
