Every year Halloween seems to get bigger and bigger. In our family, Halloween is just a fun holiday. We dress up in costumes, trick-or-treat, watch the Charlie Brown special, and keep it fun, not scary. Our neighbors continue to ramp up on their decorations – their Halloween decorations are much, much more involved than their Christmas decorations. Seems backwards to me.
This year, our neighbor directly across the street chose some pretty inappropriate decorations. Then, another house a few streets over decided to do this! Crazy. What happened to decorating with a jack-o-lantern and a scarecrow?
This year, for our non-scary costumes we had Cinderella and a race car driver.
Every year, Young Life has a fun trick-or-treating afternoon for the kids, so we participated again this year.
We ended the evening with dinner and trick-or-treating. So fun!
