We are having a lovely, relaxing Christmas this year.  Some years we travel, and while that’s a little more stressful, seeing family is always wonderful.  Staying home is wonderful in it’s own way, though.

We did prepare a Christmas meal yesterday and attended Christmas Eve service at church, but other than that, we have simply enjoyed being together.  Watching Christmas movies, reading books, playing games and Legos, being with family, Skyping with family far away, and eating great food.

Thank you, Father, for the simple, sweet nativity story – your rescue plan for us – sending your Son to earth to be a man.  Thank you for this amazing gift!
