If you haven’t noticed already, I’m catching up on a few past events here on the blog. Then in January we’ll start fresh with new happenings!
Over James’ fall break in October, we decided to take a short trip to the mountains. We rented a friend’s camper for one night on their property near Divide and had a wonderful time. We spent two full days relaxing, hiking, fishing, and enjoying the beautiful, Colorado fall weather!
It took all of us a few hours to get used to the idea of being that removed. But once we were adjusted, it was glorious. There is something so different about that kind of “getting away”. Most of our trips away from home involve visiting family which of course is wonderful. But once in awhile we see the need for us to really get away – far away from the noise of the city, other people, traffic, the TV, computers, cell phones…the list goes on and on.
We enjoyed sitting and reading in the sunlight, cooking our own food over a fire, catching grasshoppers, exploring the forest, and watching the stars. We SO enjoyed our time away and look forward to making this an annual trip!
