Another memorable 4th of July down in the books!  My friend from college days, Amy, came to visit again and we had a great time.  A perfect blend of fun activities and laying low.  Amy and I have been friends for 20 years and she has been faithful to come visit us for many years now.  Always July 4th weekend so she can escape the terrible Arizona heat.

Amy has started some fun traditions with James and Anna when she comes…taking them to Old Navy to buy a new T-shirt or two, and buying a few fireworks to do together.  They love having her come and I love that she takes the time to be fun “Aunt” Amy with them.

We made her famous egg rolls again, saw “The Pirates of Penzance” that Kenny designed lights for at our church, visited Helen Hunt Falls, watched a fireworks show, and had a girls night out.  We’ve made many great memories over the years, my friend, and I’m so thankful to know you!
