Michael flew his C-17 into town last week and we so enjoyed seeing him and catching up. Kenny, the kids, and Lynn even went out to the airfield and spent some time seeing his plane.  So, so cool to see a plane that big up close.  The kids LOVED it.  He joined us for dinner that evening, too, which was fun.

Years ago when he was a cadet at the Air Force Academy, Kenny and I were thankful for the chance to be his sponsor family, since we lived in town.  We saw him regularly, giving him rides on and off base, and just spending time together.  We enjoyed those four years of getting to know him better and building relationship.  Michael graduated a month after James was born, and moved on soon after that.
