Last week Kenny brought me these really cool pumpkin trees. Sadly, we can no longer enjoy fresh flowers in our house; all four of us suffer from allergies now and again, and flowers send us all running to the tissue box. So, my creative husband found something new and different to bring me. So sweet.
We all know that pumpkins don’t grow on trees, but these little guys are so cute. Kenny looked them up and discovered they are part of the eggplant family. Here’s a little more info I found:
“Pumpkin on a Stick, also called Pumpkin Tree and Pumpkin Bush. The plant grows three to five feet tall. It produces ribbed fruit, a little smaller than a miniature (Jack B. Little) pumpkin. As the fruit grows, it is a deep green color. The fruit ripens to a deep, reddish orange.”
They are very unique and are adding some great fall colors to our living room. Thank you, Kenny!
Interesting! I’ve never heard of those before.
