Anna took Ballet 1 this summer and learned so many new things!  I feel like this class was definitely more technique than the early, little girl ballet classes she’s taken in the past.  And she loved it!  

One of the things I love about the ballet studio we attend is the focus on Jesus.  They talk about dance being a form of worship and at the end of every class, the girls are encouraged to worship, dancing however they want.  They talk to the girls about listening to Jesus, too.  The next two pictures show one class where they were listening and then danced according to what they heard.  Love that.

While Anna was in ballet for an hour every week this summer, James and I either went to the library or hung out in the van reading.  He spent several weeks looking over the manual for the van, locating air bags, and checking out the dashboard.  He thinks he’s ready to drive!
