Farewell to the Tedders

For the past six years, Mark Tedder has led worship for our contemporary service at church.  He and his wife, Carrie, are now moving on to their next adventure and will be leaving.  Kenny and I both jumped on board shortly after they arrived in 2013 and have LOVED working with them.  Kenny took over the projection work at that time – preparing the slides for the second service and training up volunteers to help him run them every single week.  I’ve played on the worship team on keys and piano with Tedder – one to two times a month – and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute.  I’ve learned so much musically from them both.

Mark and Carrie have taught us so much about worship and we’ll forever be grateful.  They’ve modeled a servant’s heart that hungers for God, taught us how to work on a worship team, given us a love for contemporary worship music, and developed a wonderful new service for our congregation.  As a family we’ve loved getting to know them and we will miss them terribly.  We’re excited about the new worship director that’s coming – (the search committee I’ve been part of the past eight months or so) – but the Tedders will hold a special place in our hearts and we wish them God’s richest blessings!
