April 2023

Passover Meal & Easter…

Kenny & Anna made a delicious birthday meal for me – Chicken & Pea Pasta Carbonara & Tiramisu – all from scratch.  It was fabulous!

The kids & Kenny also gave me new containers for the pantry, & filled them with notes of love & things they appreciate about me.  Such a thoughtful & meaningful gift.

James & Caden – 8th Grade Dinner Dance…

For James’s 14th birthday, he had Caden spend the night after the dance, & then the following day we made Loaded Nachos & homemade sopapillas!

Anna’s 5th grade music concert.  She & her friend, Emmy, created choreography for one of the songs.  The video shows Anna’s dance portion.  They did a great job!

Anna in Acro class at the ballet studio…

The end of April was Anna’s performance in Don Quixote.  That week leading up to the performance was a bit crazy.  James had a stomach bug, then I got it & ended up quarantining in my bedroom for a couple of days so Anna would stay healthy.  She did stay healthy & danced beautifully.  We so enjoy watching her on stage!

March 2023

And one memory from February…

Valentine’s Day…Fondue fun!

One simple thing I can do to make my family happy…stacks of chocolate chip cookies.

Matching CO girls…

Kenny spent a week in San Francisco in early March for a Sales Force conference followed by a three-day boot camp, learning a new tool/platform his company will use.  After studying for months, he also took two exams and passed them both!  We are so proud of his efforts.

Amy came to visit!

Mom & Dad also came out in March and attended our school’s Band Chili Dinner Fundraiser with us.  James’s jazz band, Silver Jazz, was part of the entertainment and we LOVED watching him play.

Ain’t Misbehavin’…

Aftershock…a cool rock beat & our favorite…James’s favorite too!

Anna’s 5th grade Pi Day at school…

Spring Break fun…

February 2023 – Universal Studios

Our family Christmas gift last year was a trip to Universal Studios in Florida!  Before Christmas, we booked the hotel & park tickets, and in early January started looking at flights.  As we discussed flying, and my anxiety climbed, it became evident that I wasn’t ready to fly again.  My track record with flying is fairly poor and I just wasn’t ready to risk being sick during the trip again.

So, we made the very difficult decision that mom would stay home.  We were so thankful for God’s direction in this.  In the end, it was the right decision for all of us.  Kenny & the kids had a blast & didn’t have to worry about me & how I was feeling.  I enjoyed a very quiet four days at home resting, getting a few things done & was refreshed by the time they returned.
