Small Group

We’ve been part of a small group within our church for almost eight years and one of our founding couples is leaving us. Bill & Kathy, our wise mentor couple, are moving to be near family and we will miss them greatly.

This group is like family.  We rotate homes and meet once or twice a month to share life together, to pray for each other, to study God’s Word, and to fellowship.  The kids have snacks then usually take off to play.  We have potlucks now and again, and our famous Christmas party every year with a white elephant gift exchange.  We’ve shared many laughs and tears over the years and have walked through lots of life together.

A few weeks ago we had a farewell for Bill & Kathy and so enjoyed our time together.

Remembering Howard

Our friend, Howard, our train buddy for many years, passed away this month.  We have fond memories of our times together: running trains, catching up on life, attending organ concerts together, sharing a meal, and talking about technology old and new.  Corene and Howard have shown our family such hospitality for many years and we will always be grateful.  You can read past posts about our friends here and here.  Howard was a quiet, kind, loving soul and we will miss him.

Boys Shooting Day

Last month Kenny and James went shooting with one of our chiropractors and his son.  They drove up into Rocky Mountain National Park for the afternoon.  The torn-up plastic bottle is proof they had a great time.
