James is one and a half!

After a long hiatus from blogging, I’m really going to try to get caught up again.  🙂  The good news is that I keep a running list of items and events to blog about, so watch out, there is more to come!

Yesterday our baby boy turned one and a half !  I can’t believe it!  He already seems to be growing up so fast!

James is an active little boy who’s constantly on the move.  It makes me tired just thinking about the energy within his little body.  That also means that life is a lot of fun, too.  He’s always learning something new, understands things very quickly, and is a joy to walk alongside during his discoveries.  Kenny and I are constantly amazed at what he figures out.

While James has mastered a handful of signs to communicate with us, he’s also becoming quite verbal which is exciting and scary all at the same time.  He says parts of words which typically is enough to understand what he means.  One of these days I think he’s going to spit out an entire sentence.

James LOVES to help cook in the kitchen, read books, and of course help Daddy with anything outside or in the garage.  He’s mastered walking up and down the basement stairs with the help of the railing, can blow his nose quite well, and loves to be around other kids.  He’s always saying ‘hi’ to everyone when we’re out and about, but gets a little shy when they actually respond back to him.

James, sweetheart, Mama & Daddy love you so much and we thank God daily for the gift that you are to our family!

  1. James is such a sweetie and all boy, which is wonderful! I love getting to be around him, especially since we have a shortage of little men in our life. You all are wonderful parents and we are blessed to be going through this stage of life with you.

  2. Lynn and I both said he looks like such a boy and not a baby in the Pampers box. But he’s still in Pampers so he’s still “little” for a little while. Look at those smiles–we’re the luckiest, most blessed family in the world!

  3. James is such a cutie pie – or as Alli would say “cutie cake”. My girls just love him!
