Christmas 2017

We had a beautiful Christmas last month.  The kids were out of school for two and a half weeks which is always so fun.  A fun mix of downtime and celebrating.

Early in December we attended the Christmas concert at our church and so enjoyed starting the season with this celebration.

We visited the Broadmoor hotel and enjoyed walking around the lake, looking at the lights and giant gingerbread house, and drinking hot chocolate by their outdoor fireplace.  So fun!

We hosted our small group Christmas party which was so much fun.  The white elephant gift exchange is a highlight every year.

And we visited good friends, ran trains, and played Christmas piano duets.

At Christmastime we traveled to NE and spent almost a week with mom and dad which was great.  We typically stay home for Christmas, but this year, getting out of town was just what we needed.  Kenny needed a break from work, and we all needed some R&R.  Mom and Dad planned meals for weeks before we came, decorated everywhere, and overall made our Christmas wonderful.  We’re so thankful for the time with them.

We celebrated again after returning home with Kenny’s family and enjoyed another wonderful evening of food and family.
